Links LS 2000 Add-On Courses: 10 Course Pack -- Volume 1 features ten championship courses optimized for tournament play. As the name implies, you must have Links LS 2000 installed on your computer in order to reap the full benefits of this collection. Courses have been enhanced to include the addition of thousands of spectators lining the fairways and surrounding the greens to give your rounds a tournament ambiance. Additionally, television towers and leader boards dot the landscape adding to the flair of tournament golf.

Nine of the courses are replications of real-life venues with one new fantasy (fictional) course added to the mix. Three Canyons Fantasy Course is surrounded by majestic rocks and cliffs and is built around a crater-based lake. This executive course features sloping greens, elevated tees and breathtaking vistas and views to distract the unwary golfer. One course, Latrobe Country Club, purchased by Arnold Palmer in 1971, has undergone extensive improvements and enhancements over the last three decades and the Links rendition is true to the most recent configuration. The collection contains two versions of the course, one in fall colors and the other showcasing summer play.

Four venerable courses that have survived the test of time as fan favorites are included: Firestone Country Club (Ohio), Castle Pines Golf Club (Colorado), Pinehurst No. 2 (North Carolina) and Bountiful Golf Club (Wasatch Mountains in Utah). Firestone was originally built in 1928, rebuilt by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. in 1959 and features the NEC World Series of Golf on an annual basis. Castle Pines is a Jack Nicklaus designed course (1981) and is the longest course on the PGA Tour at nearly 7500 yards. Described by Bobby Jones as "the St. Andrews of United States golf," the Donald Ross-designed Pinehurst No. 2 perennially gets voted as one of the top ten courses in the world.

Rounding out the venues in Links LS 2000 Add-On Courses: 10 Course Pack -- Volume 1 are two Maui-based Hawaiian courses, Kapalua Plantation and Kapalua Village, Entrada at Snow Canyon, designed in 1996 by Johnny Miller and Sea Island Golf Club, The Cloister located on renovated marshland Georgia, originally build in 1928 and redesigned in 1949.
