Linn Féic

Celtic Mythology: Linn Féic

A pool in the River Boyne near Slane, Co. Meath, one of the two locations where Fionn mac Cumhaill encountered the salmon of wisdom. Known today as Fiac's or Féc's Pool, it was named for one Fiac who drowned here. Coincidentally, this was also the site of the Battle of the Boyne (1690).
