Lisa Bowerman is a British actress.
Bowerman was a regular in the first two series of BBC medical drama Casualty playing Sandra Mute, the show's first female paramedic. She is also known for her connection to the BBC science fiction television series Doctor Who. She appeared as the Cheetah person Karra in the serial Survival (1989) but is now better known as the voice of the companion Bernice Summerfield in Big Finish Productions' audio plays which she has been playing since 1998. She appears in two Doctor Who audio plays opposite Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Sophie Aldred as Ace, as well as in over 40 audio plays based solely on Bernice. She also appears as Ruby in the Sapphire and Steel stories Water Like a Stone, Cruel Immortality and Second Sight, as Murash in I, Davros: Guilt produced by the same company, and as Saruba Velak in Dreamland, as well as directing several plays across the various ranges.
Her other television work includes: Dodgem, The Count of Solar, Grange Hill, The Vision Thing, Doctors, McCallum, Bad Girls and Night & Day.
She has recorded many plays for Radios 3 & 4, and has worked extensively in theatre.
She is also a professional photographer.
Bowerman is also the House Committee Chairman of the actors' retirement home: Denville Hall, and a trustee of The Actors' Charitable Trust.
In 2007 she guest-starred as the Home Secretary's PA in Spooks, and returned to Casualty for a one-episode cameo role as a patient.
