Lisa Regina
Lisa Regina (born circa 1961) is an actress, screenwriter, director, and acting coach born in Philadelphia and educated at New York University.
She wrote, directed, and produced the award-winning documentary Kenny about a man suffering from the rare skin disease ichthyosis. The film promotes tolerance of others.
Among her acting credits, Regina played a minor character in a 5th-season episode of The Sopranos. In 2006, she was cast in a recurring role on the soap opera All My Children. Her latest writing project as of February 2006, a TV pilot called Wannabe a Wiseguy?, was then in pre-production.
Assault
Regina gained media attention in Spring 2005, when her then fiancé, actor Vincent Pastore, physically assaulted her. Pastore, known for his role as mobster "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero on The Sopranos, was charged with assault, attempted assault, and harassment. An eventual plea bargain required him to perform community service, attend therapy, and pay a nominal fine. As of April 2007, Ms. Regina is suing Vincent Pastore in Supreme Court in New York County in a civil suit for the assault and the emotional distress it has left her with.
