Houdetot, Élisabeth-Sophie, comtesse de (1730-1813). Sister-in-law of Madame d'Épinay, remembered as the object of J.-J. Rousseau's unavailing passion which he poured into La Nouvelle Héloïse. Her amant en titre was Saint-Lambert.
