List of Governors General of Canada

Wikipedia: List of Governors General of Canada

The following is a list of the Governors and Governors General of Canada. Though the present day office of the Governor General in Canada came into being only upon Canadian Confederation in 1867, it is generally accepted that the institution is a continuation from the first governorship of New France in 1608.[1]
