This article lists political parties in Chile.
Chile has a multi-party system, within a system with two dominant coalitions. This is because the 1980 constitution approved during the government of Augusto Pinochet made it extremely difficult for marginal parties to achieve electoral success.

Political parties
Nationwide
These are parties that are legally constituted in all fourteen regions plus the Santiago Metropolitan Region.
- National Renewal (Renovación Nacional)
- Christian Democrat Party (Partido Demócrata Cristiano)
- Party for Democracy (Partido Por la Democracia)
- Independent Democrat Union (Unión Demócrata Independiente)
- Socialist Party (Partido Socialista de Chile)
- Communist Party (Partido Comunista de Chile)
- Social Democrat Radical Party (Partido Radical Socialdemócrata) [Fusion of Chilean Social Democracy Party (Partido Socialdemocracia Chilena) and Radical Party (Partido Radical de Chile).]
- Regionalist Party of the Independents (Partido Regionalista de los Independientes)
Regional
These are parties that are legally constituted only in some regions of Chile.
- Humanist Party (Partido Humanista): Operates in all regions, except X, XIV and XI.
- Ecologist Party (Partido Ecologista): Operates in regions I, II and III.
- Country Force (Fuerza País): Operates in regions XV, I and II.
- Christian Left Party (Partido Izquierda Cristiana de Chile): Operates in regions XV, I and II.
- ChileFirst (ChilePrimero): Operates in regions XV, II, III, IV, VI and XIV.
- Broad Social Movement (Movimiento Amplio Social): Operates in regions I, II, III, RM, VIII and XI.
- Humanist Party of the North (Partido Humanista del Norte)): Operates in regions XV, I and II.
Not yet registered
These are parties in formation awaiting registration by the Electoral Service.[1]

- Ecologist Party of the South (Partido Ecologista del Sur)
Legally expired
These are parties that have had their right to registration expired according to Art. 6 of Chilean Law 18,603.[1]
- ChileVe: Expired on February 27, 2004.
- New National Force (Nueva Fuerza Nacional): Expired on June 11, 2004.
- Progressive Party (Partido Progresista): Expired on September 7, 2006.
- National Unitary Movement (Movimiento Unitario Nacional): Expired on June 6, 2008.
- Sol - Party of the People (Sol - Partido del Pueblo): Expired on December 12, 2008.
- Democratic Movement of the Peoples (Movimiento Democrático de los Pueblos): Expired on April 17, 2009.
