The Mord Wraiths were some of the non-druid human followers of Brona. When the Skull Kingdom collapsed with the defeat of the Warlock Lord, Allanon believed the Ildatch was destroyed. But he was wrong (the Ildatch can make itself disappear for it is the source of all dark magic and it created the skull bearers). The human followers of Brona found the Ildatch and it turned them into its slaves.^{[citation needed]}
