Several Monarchs had titles used in diplomatic settings which were not part of their official national Royal Style, but which signified their nationality. The Treaty of Paris (1763) is an example of the use of these 'Treaty Titles'.

Various other European monarchs used styles that uniquely identified their nationality, but which are not true Treaty Titles in that the title was officially granted to them by the Papacy:

- (Most) Catholic Majesty - Kingdom of Spain
- (Most) Christian Majesty - Kingdom of France
- (Most) Faithful Majesty - Kingdom of Portugal
