Review

Little Hands plays out like some kind of twee pop version of a Harlequin romance novel -- a rocker falls for one of his fans, but instead of the usual one-night groupie tryst, he's seeking true love. Shy boys in sweaters and smart girls in glasses the world over swoon, not just because the song captures such a uniquely indie rock version of storybook romance, but also because it arrives gift-wrapped in a textbook-BMX Bandits-melody, complete with a killer guitar riff. No less charming are the B-sides, among them the radiant "The Next Girl" and a cover of Harpers Bizarre's "Witchy Tai To" produced by Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
