Llysworney

Wikipedia: Llysworney

Llysworney is a small village in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales.

It has a population of around 240 in just over 100 houses. The village includes a 13th century parish church, historic pub, a garage and a village duck pond. Although a number of the properties in the village are farmhouses there is just one family currently resident where farming is their primary source of income. In the past, there was a thriving rural community that supported a school, shops and various trades.

Llysworney is located two miles south-east of the market town of Cowbridge, and has a main road running through it, leading to Pentre Meyrick to the north of the village and Nash (Wales) to the south.

The Welsh spelling of 'Llysworney' is 'Llyswyrni'.
