[Latin locāre, locāt-, to place, from locus, place.]

locatable lo'cat'a·ble adj.
locater lo'cat'er n.

is an 18th century Americanism that still has a transatlantic flavour, especially in its intransitive use (without an object) as in Numerous industries have located in the area. In British English, this use is more common in the form relocate, also originally an Americanism (19th century):
I am advising your colleague...to relocate—Robert McCrum, 1991.
In both varieties, to be located is a synonym for 'to be situated' (The supermarket is located in the northern outskirts of the city), but again its American sound can cause disquiet among British language purists.
