Biography

Netherlands-based producer and student at the Faculty of Art, Media & Technology, Jolan Koks -- otherwise known as Loden -- is a laptop composer specializing in glitch beats, segment splicing, and atmospheric ambience recalling Boards of Canada or Virgin Suicides-era Air. After creating two EPs in 2003, That's Left Is Right and In Zee, he retreated to the studio for the next two years, where he tinkered away on his next record. In 2005, he returned with The Nachtvorst EP for Colony Productions and released his most watery lush and complex full-length album, Valeen Hope, on Eat This Records, later to be licensed by Mush Records. ~ Jason Lymangrover, All Music Guide
