Review

The Australian single for "Lone Star Song" from Grant Lee Buffalo's Mighty Joe Moon contains what most fans crave from their favorite bands: unreleased B-sides. The three included here are all worth a listen. "Goodnight, John Dee" and "We're Coming Down" are traditional GLB fare. These B-sides sound like they were left off the LP solely because they didn't fit, not because they weren't good enough. The acoustic strum of guitar and intoxicating vocals, which have become GLB's signature, are present and in great form on these songs. When listening to this single you get the feeling that you are getting a second helping from the full-length LP, not just leftovers. ~ Dan Lee, Rovi
