Review: Overall
Looney Tunes byThis game has a very simple style, a bit too simple. There are no hidden levels, no power-ups and no excitement. There are bonus levels after each completed level but all they do is add to your points. They are in no way challenging or fun.
The entire game consists of moving forward, and sometimes up, in true standard 2D side scrolling play. There is absolutely nothing inventive about this game. There are no passwords but there are unlimited continues. If you die and you agree to continue the game, you will start at the board you died on. This is nice but if you get tired of the game and turn it off, you will have to start over from the beginning.
A huge problem with the game is that each level has nothing to do with the other. There is no overall story to follow. When you finally beat the entire game, there is no feeling of satisfaction.
The only good thing is that throughout the course of the game, you will play seven different Looney Tune characters. Each one has a special weapon except for
Each character has three hearts which is all they are able to get for the entire game. There are other heart containers along the way but all they do is heal. This is very unfortunate because as you get further along in the game each boss gets more hearts. The final boss,
Each board and every boss has a very specific pattern. So while it's hard at first, after a few run-throughs you can memorize every enemy is and where they are. This makes for a very boring game.
