Biography

Italian producer of rigid techno and label owner of Sounds Never Seen, Lory D is a much bigger figure in his homeland than abroad. An active participant in Rome's clubbing scene since the late '80s, Lory D helped introduce acid house and hardcore to its scenesters and became something of a legend at some point after that. The releases on his label have been pressed in extremely limited quantities, only adding to his mystique. Rephlex snapped up the producer for 2003's Sounds Never Seen, which collected highlights from his back catalog and made them widely available. ~ Andy Kellman, All Music Guide
