Louie DeVito's Dance Factory often seems to manufacture nothing but hour after hour of high-energy house music, but this mix (done with fellow DJ Bad Boy Joe) shows DeVito with a better sense of range and flow. Sure, there are still plenty of action-packed hits -- "Absolutely Not" by Deborah Cox, "Will I" by Ian Van Dahl, "Castles in the Sky" by Rui Da Silva -- but it also includes a few great left-field choices like DJ Sammy's lush "Heaven"; the stark acid nightmare "La La Land" by Green Velvet; and, to end it all, the smoothest of the smooth: Daft Punk's dreamy, circling "One More Time," with vocals by Romanthony. Here's to more mixes with less exhaustive content. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
