Style of French Classical, Rococo and early Neo-Classical architecture of the reign of King Louis XV (1715–74), characterized by its charm, lightness, and elegance. Apart from several exquisite schemes of Rococo interior decoration the characteristic buildings are the interior of the Chapel at Versailles, the Châteaux at Nancy and Lunéville, the Panthéon, Paris, and the palacefronted buildings of the Place de la Concorde, Paris.
