Plot

Following up on the critical drubbing of the Final Cut, the same cast and crew, TV comedians Dominic Anciano and Ray Burdis, along with Britpack hipsters Jonny Lee Miller, Jude Law, Rhys Ifans, and Sadie Frost, come together to make this crime comedy about guns, karaoke, and fart jokes. The film opens with bored postman Jonny (Lee Miller) in clown-face reminiscing about his mate Jude (Law), who introduced him to his crime lord uncle Ray Kreed (Ray Winstone). Though Jonny is hungry for some action, Ray is more interested in karaoke and his impeding nuptials with soap star Sadie (Frost). Bored, Jonny, along with Jude, bungle a credit card scam and then later really screw up by robbing high-grade blow from a South London gang headed by Sean (Sean Pertwee) and his sidekick Matthew (Ifans). Soon a gang war ensues. ~ Jonathan Crow, All Movie Guide

Love, Honour and Obey is a 2000 mock gangster film starring several members of the Primrose Hill set. It was jointly written and directed by Dominic Anciano and Ray Burdis (who also appear in the film) as a follow-up to their 1998 film Final Cut. Both this film and Final Cut have the same trademark of giving the cast the same forenames as the actors who play them - of the sixteen main characters, only Matthew (Rhys Ifans) and Maureen (Denise van Outen) do not share this trait. The film also features a cameo appearance from former East London boxer turned comedian, Ricky Grover.

Plot outline

Jonny (Jonny Lee Miller) is working as a courier and becoming increasingly dissatisfied with his life. He asks long-running school friend Jude (Jude Law) to help him into the North London criminal gang run by his uncle Ray (Ray Winstone). As Jonny gets more involved in the image of the criminal world, he starts making mistakes and through a mutual dislike for rival gangster Matthew (Rhys Ifans) inadvertently starts a war with the South London mob, headed up by Sean (Sean Pertwee).
