Plot

Saul (Dudley Moore), a married psychiatrist, becomes romantically obsessed with Chloe (Elizabeth McGovern), one of his patients. Chloe has already devastated one psychoanalyst, and although the venerable Freud himself (Alec Guinness) appears to counsel Saul in his worst moments, the man continues on his tormented way. Lovesick is a 1983 romantic comedy film. It was written and directed by Marshall Brickman. It stars Dudley Moore, Elizabeth McGovern and guest stars Alec Guinness as the ghost of Sigmund Freud.

Psychologist Saul Benjamin (Moore) takes on a patient temporarily as a favor to a colleague friend. After his friend dies, he takes on Chloe Allen (McGovern) as a regular and subsequently falls in love with her. The movie explores their blossoming relationship and mishaps.
