Wikipedia:

low-grade fever

In medicine, low-grade fever is a continuous or fluctuating low fever, typically defined as never exceeding 38.5 degrees Celsius (about 101 degrees Fahrenheit). It is a non-specific finding, but occurs in many diseases, ranging from infectious (viral infections or infective endocarditis) to autoimmune to malignant causes.

A persistent low grade fever can be a sign of many sicknesses.
