Loy Mendonsa is part of the Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio which consist of himself, Shankar Mahadevan and Ehsaan Noorani. Before becoming a music composer, he was a keyboard musician for famous music composers such as A. R. Rahman and Nadeem-Shravan. His daughter, Alyssa Mendonsa, recently made her singing debut with the hit track Uff Teri Adaa from the movie Karthik Calling Karthik
Loy Mendonsa started his career by composing the signature tune for one of the most recognizable shows in Indian TV history - The World This Week on Doordarshan
