With a name that stands for "leading solutions," LS Cable (dba LS Cable & System) faces high expectations. One of South Korea's largest players in energy and telecommunications, it is a global supplier of optical communications including optical fiber and cable. LS Cable & System delivers a lineup of power cables, booth ducts, and rubber lines for transporting light and electricity, and optical fiber pre-form coaxial systems for wireless communication. Its technologies are used in power plants, industrial sites, vehicles, ships, planes, and trains. Spun off from LG Group in 2003, the company reorganized into small units in 2008, and picked up a 93% stake in Superior Essex, a US-based wire manufacturer.
