Arizona native LT has been performing and writing songs since the age of 16. Upon graduating from high school, LT fled her western abode for New York to make her goals of becoming an entertainer a reality. Within five years, her songs had been featured in episodes of As the World Turns, Dawson's Creek, and Jack & Jill. She had also co-written material with other well-respected songwriters such as Jeff Cohen (Mandy Moore, Evan & Jaron), Jeff Franzel (Clay Aiken), and Steve Skinner (Celine Dion, Jewel, Bette Midler). In 2003, Ruff Ryders co-CEO Waah Dean caught LT's performance at SIR Studios in New York City. He was so impressed with her driven pop style, LT became the first pop star to be signed to Ruff Ryders' pop label, Ruff Pop. Two years later, LT lent her vocals and lyrics to "Same Cry," a song included on Jin's 2004 debut album, The Rest Is History. Another self-penned track, "So Serious" was slated to appear on the fourth Ruff Ryders compilation, The Redemption. LT's debut album was also scheduled for a fall 2005 release. ~ MacKenzie Wilson, All Music Guide
