June 21–July 4. Lubec, ME. The easternmost community in the US observes its 200th birthday on June 21, 2011! Celebratory events start on that date and culminate on Sunday, July 3, and Monday, July 4, with parades, public food offerings, vendors, music events and a 26.2-mile international marathon.
