Luis Alfonso Cruz Bojorquez (born February 10, 1984 in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico) is a Major League Baseball shortstop for the Milwaukee Brewers. He bats and throws right handed. He is 6 foot 1 and 180 pounds.

Professional career

2008

Cruz signed a Minor League contract with the Pirates for the 2008 season.

After spending the majority of the year with the AA-Altoona Curve and AAA-Indianapolis Indians, he was called up to Pittsburgh and made his debut for the Pirates on September 2, 2008.

2009

Cruz began the 2009 season on the Pirates Major League roster, but was reassigned to AAA in mid-April to make room for second baseman Delwyn Young, whom was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He was recalled to Pittsburgh on July 10, 2009.

2010

Cruz was claimed off waivers by the Milwaukee Brewers on December 7, 2009.
