Luque is a city in Central Department, Paraguay, part of the Gran Asunción metropolitan area. It is located at around 25°16′12″S 57°29′14″W / 25.27°S 57.48722°W. It is the location of the Silvio Pettirossi International Airport for Asunción and the headquarters of CONMEBOL.
It is the birthplace of José Luis Chilavert, Paraguay's greatest ever footballer.
It is a centre of production of Guitars and Paraguayan harps as well as Filigranas, gold and silver filigree jewellery including the seven-band ring Carretón de Siete Ramales.
