The Hamburglar has stolen Ronald McDonald's Bag of Magic. Without his bag, Ronald can't entertain the children as he has for so many years. It's up to two of his biggest fans, Mick and Mack, to help find the Hamburglar and reclaim Ronald's Bag of Magic.
In M.C. Kids, take the trip through the six areas of McDonaldland as you search for the elusive Hamburglar. Each land is divided into several individual levels, which you (as either Mick or Mack) and a friend must make your way through in order to help out Ronald. To complicate things, the Hamburglar has readied such creatures as goforits (gophers), splinters (beavers), and McMooses to impede your progress. In order to defeat these enemies (and also to pile things up so you can reach high places), you have the power to pick up blocks and place or throw them. Also, you'll have to master some of the obstacles of McDonaldland. Along the way you can pick up power-ups such as Golden Arches and visit other McDonaldland inhabitants such as Birdie and Grimace.

Roots & Influences
This game was created as a marketing tie-in for McDonald's restaurants. The action of the game is derivative of Super Mario Bros. 2 (picking things up and throwing them) and Super Mario Bros. 3 (several worlds with individual levels to complete).

One can choose to play either one of the M.C. Kids (or Cool Spot in the Game Boy version), but there is no difference between the two characters other than the fact that one of the youths is white and the other one is black. Up to two players can play the game at once, and both characters can walk, jump, duck, and pick up blocks to throw at enemies as they travel through the seven large worlds of magical McDonald Land.
In a similar format as Super Mario Bros. 3 or StarTropics, the game has seven different worlds. Each one starts out by having the character visit a McDonald Land character. However, unlike games such as Super Mario Bros. 3, simply defeating the various levels is not enough for success as one needs to find the hidden McDonald Land cards that are scattered in a world in order to advance to the next world.
One can collect various McDonald Golden Arches for extra points and, aside from the game's numerous secrets, including a secret level, the game has various objects in the game that one needs to use to advance, i.e., a zipper to enter secret areas, a spin device that turns the level upside down, a boat that can be both ridden in and carried.
End Game Glitch
The game will take you to the end screen if player holds the buttons Start and Select at the same time.
