Hitachi ID Systems provides identity management software. Its offerings include ID-Synch for user provisioning, and ID-Certify for meeting regulatory compliance needs created by Sarbanes-Oxley and other security-related legislation. Other modules include P-Synch for password management, and ID-Access for self-service account access. The company counts Ford Motor, Home Depot, Symbol Technologies, Neiman Marcus, and Wendy's International among its customers. Formerly called M-Tech Information Technology, the company was founded in 1992. Hitachi acquired M-Tech and changed its name in 2008.
