Although M.W. Kellogg makes industrial facilities instead of frosted flakes, its customers still thinks it's grrrreat. The engineering and construction joint venture between US-based Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) and Japan-based JGC (KBR owns 55% of the joint venture) specializes in gas processing, petrochemical, and other energy plant construction. In 2005 M.W. Kellogg found itself and three other companies in the middle of a US federal investigation into an alleged $180 million bribery scandal in Nigeria examining whether former employees illegally coordinated bidding on other foreign construction projects since the mid-1980s.
