Mac Cocker is an English actor and radio broadcaster currently based in Murwillumbah, Australia. He is the estranged father of British musician Jarvis Cocker.
Born in Sheffield, England, he moved to Australia in 1970, and came to prominence as a presenter at radio station Double Jay / Triple J in the 1970s and 1980s, where he hosted a popular music show with his familiar laid-back style. After relocating to the Northern Territory, Cocker worked for ABC local radio in Darwin until his official retirement in 2007. Over the summer break 2008–2009, Cocker returned to host the nationally broadcast program The Night Train and his regular show The Louvred Lounge on 105.7 ABC Darwin.
