Madarosis is the absence or loss of the eyelashes (and sometimes the eyebrows), either as a congenital condition or as a result of an infection.E.g. Leprosy,alopecia totalis etc.

Madarosis is the absence of eyelashes and in severe cases eyebrows. It can be caused by infection or malignant neoplasms.
