Franchise Mode issues

A trick that can be employed works usually for most players. The user simply changes the position of a player, usually causing his overall rating to heavily decrease. The user trades for that player, who's grade may have been an A+ but now is an F, and changes back to the original position. The same can be done to re-sign players to smaller contracts.

Another trick that players can perform to save money for their teams is to create a punter with very high passing stats, as well as low punting stats. The low stats in punting will decrease the player's worth in free agency, so the player can sign him to a very low contract. The player then switches the punter to starting quarterback, and the player will have a high overall "quarterback" for a very low salary.

One of the more obscure tricks that a player can do should the team's cap be in the negatives is to raise attendance without regarding the team's performance. Before a home game, the player enters the "Owner's Box" menu, and will set the "Advertising" prices as high as possible. After the player plays the game, he will return to the "Owner's Box" menu and set "Advertising" down to zero, then simulate the rest of the games for that week. The player will not be charged for the advertising, but the team's attendance will be raised.[5]
