Madison, Brooklyn

Madison Park is a purely residential neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. Named after its own James Madison High School, it is nestled just east of Homecrest and south of Midwood. Its borders are Kings Highway to the north, Avenue U to the south, Ocean Avenue to the west, and Nostrand Avenue to the east. Madison uses the ZIP code 11229. The area is served by Brooklyn Community Board 15.^[1]

Judith Sheindlin (TV's Judge Judy) grew up on Ocean Avenue and graduated from James Madison High School. United States Senator Bernie Sanders (Vermont) grew up in Madison and graduated from the same high school. As well as United States Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
