Maison de Bonneterie is a chain of upscale department stores in the Netherlands with flagship stores in Amsterdam and The Hague and a smaller branches in Laren and Heemstede. The Amsterdam store was founded in 1889 and is situated along the Kalverstraat in a Parisian style building set around a top lit dome. The branch in The Hague is located in a centrally located building from 1913, typical for the department stores built in many European cities during the same period.
Because of its sale of fur clothing, the Amsterdam store has been the object of a campaign by the animal rights activist group Respect voor Dieren.
