Term, either for a fandango-type dance from Málaga and Murcia, or for an emotional, sensuous gypsy song on a repeated descending bass pattern. Stylized malagueñas were composed by Chabrier (España, 1883), Ravel (Rapsodie espagnole, 1908) and Albéniz (Iberia, 1909).
