In BDSM, malesub, or male submission, generally refers to BDSM activities where the submissive partner is male.
The female dominant counterpart is a femdom, the male dominant counterpart is a maledom.
Within the context of the BDSM, D/s community, it is perceived that there are different levels of male submission. In the most heterosexual, vanilla of cases, having sexual intercourse with the female on top and "in control of the situation" can be considered the most basic forms of male submission. The degree of male submission is generally considered more severe when bondage and sadomasochistic activities are introduced. In more intense practices of male submission, other fetish-play is often incorporated into the relationship; such as: spanking, erotic humiliation, ageplay, sissification, etc.
