Mama is a song by rock group Electric Light Orchestra.
Track two from the album Electric Light Orchestra II originally titled "Momma" as it appeared on the bands second UK long player ELO 2 in 1973, in the United States the song acquired its different spelling and is now the most common form found on all later remasters. The song is the most melodic track on ELO 2 and is a ballad about "a lonely young lady". The original track on the album clocks in at over seven minutes and was remastered and considerably shortened by Jeff Lynne, the song's composer, in 2000 and included on the box set Flashback. The song was covered by Carl Wayne.
