Throughout the history of the Muslim world there have been a number of Mamluk dynasties:
- The Mamluk dynasty of Delhi ruled India between 1211 and 1290
- The
Mamluk dynasty of Baghdad ruled that city and the surrounding areas until 1832 - There were two Egyptian Mamluk dynasties, the Bahri dynasty from 1250 to 1382 and the Burgi dynasty from 1382 until 1517.
