Man is Absent-Minded

  • Release Year: 1910

Plot

This Pathe comedy goes to great lengths to prove the veracity of its title. The "distracted" hero is seen at the beginning of the picture posting two letters. One of the messages is intended for his prospective father-in-law; the other is meant for the hero's friend, a fellow dog fancier. Not unexpectedly, the letters end up being misdelivered. Thus it is that the future father-in-law receives a missive in which his daughter is described with terminology more suitable for a dog. Small wonder, then, that Daddy greets his daughter's suitor with a bucket of water and a torrent of profanities. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
