Manila resin
(mə′nil·ə ′rez·ən)
(materials) A type of resin extracted from trees of the genus Agathis in the Philippines that is soluble in ethyl and methyl alcohol, insoluble in water; used in printing ink, varnishes, paints, and linoleum. Also known as Manila copal.
