Happy birthday to Billy Crystal, the affable stand-up-comedian-turned-actor-director-and-author, who turns 60 today. It's hard to believe now that what should have been Crystal's first appearance on the opening episode of Saturday Night Live (in 1975) was cut from the show. When he finally made it back as a regular for the 1984-1985 season, Crystal's spot-on impersonations made him a runaway hit. Portraying the slick and smarmy Fernando Lamas, Crystal coined the catchphrase, "You look mahvelous!" Here's a piece of trivia for game-show buffs: Crystal holds the record for most quickly advancing his partner to the top of The $20,000 Pyramid — 26 seconds for the bonus round!
