Marcia Resnick

Resnick, Marcia (b. 1950), New York-based American photographer, noted for her inventive approach to image making. Her commercial work includes album-cover images for rock groups and musicians like UFO, Johnny Thunders, and Robert Quine.

Educated at Cooper Union and the California Institute of Arts, Resnick has created artist's books that examine gender, sexuality, the acts of seeing and remembering, and incorporate narratives with painted-upon photographic images and subtexts. They include Landscape, See, and Tahitian Eve (all 1975); Landscape-Loftscape (1977); Re-Visions (1978); and Bad Boys: Punks, Poets, and Politicians, an ongoing perusal of men.
