Biography

As one of Hollywood's busiest casting agents, Marcia S. Ross has been responsible for securing early roles for such future stars as John Cusack (One Crazy Summer [1986]) and picking just the right actors for roles in such memorable films as Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997) and The Princess Diaries (2001). Though she undoubtedly has an uncanny ability to spot up-and-coming talent, Ross has also commented that aging actors such as Gene Hackman continue to offer both dynamic and memorable performances of gravity that younger thespians can only dream of emulating. As the senior vice president of casting for Disney/Buena Vista Pictures, Ross has refined her skill for spotting comedic talent, casting such sidesplitting comedies as Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo (1999) and such breathtaking adventures as 2002's The Count of Monte Cristo. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
