I like it Loud was covered by German techno group Scooter as "Maria (I Like It Loud)", it was released as the third and final single from their 2003 album The Stadium Techno Experience.

History

The version made for the single features Marc Acardipane[5] and Dick Rules and is a remixed version of the track featured on the album[6]. The video for the song shows Scooter performing at a night club. In the charts, the single reached #4 in Germany and Austria.

The song is also used by some association football clubs to boost atmosphere in the stadia, most notably as the anthem for Romanian team Steaua Bucharest and as the goal-celebration song for German club Borussia Mönchengladbach and Italian US Città di Palermo[7].

Notes

During the shooting of the music video, H.P. Baxxter met his future wife. [8]

At Scooter concerts, the chorus is often chanted by the crowd even when the song is not playing (in between songs). [9]

Other Covers

In 2002 was covered from the Club Robbers as Trance (music) version[10] and in 2007 the Hard Trance band Cosmic Guys covered the song[11]. Marc Acardipane played the song with Dick Rules on a single in 2003[12] The song was also covered by the Canadian hardcore band, Abandon All Ships! and can be found on their MySpace. [13]
