Marielle de Sarnez (born 27 March 1951 in Paris) is a French politician and Member of the European Parliament for the Île-de-France. She is a member of the MoDem, vice-chair of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education.

She is also substitute for the Committee on Foreign Affairs, a member of the delegation for relations with South Africa and a substitute for the delegation to the EU–Chile Joint Parliamentary Committee.

Career

• Special adviser in the office of Jean-Claude Gaudin, Chairman of the Union for French Democracy (UDF) Group in the National Assembly of France (1986–1988)
• Secretary-General of the opposition general assembly (1989–1993)
• Adviser to François Bayrou, Minister of National Education and Higher Education and Research, then head of his office (1993–1997)
• Secretary-General of the UDF Group in the National Assembly (1997–1998)
• National Secretary of the UDF (since 2003)
• Secretary-General of the European Democratic Party (since 2004)
• Member of the Paris Council (for the 14th arrondissement) (since 2001)
• Member of the European Parliament (since 1999)
• Chairwoman of the UDF delegation in the European Parliament (since 2004)
