Jasons Market Place started its business in Singapore in 1975. It was introduced in Taiwan in 2003.[2][3] In 2007, it was firstly opened in Jardine's Lookout, Hong Kong in the name of Market Place by Jasons.[4][5]

Concept

Jasons Market Place is a high end supermarket brand and full serviced retailer dedicated to offer the widest range of quality, good value, and international merchandise to satisfy the daily needs of its target customers in a relaxed and pleasant shopping environment.

The identity of this 'Jasons' is unknown, however customers believe he works undercover as a shelf stacker or aisle cleaner in the 'Jasons Market Place' located on the Peak, in an attempt to keep an eye on his beloved food shopping haven without the disruption of being recognized by his adoring fans, mainly 'Sacky S' and 'Hacky B', who are said to visit 'Jasons' frequently in an attempt to uncover the identity of the man, who, in their own words 'opened our eyes up to a world of new food possibilities.' Jasons is said to be of Asian descent, with a love of rearranging organic food items alphabetically and unnecessarily making singular words plural.

References

Jasons is said to be under 4 ft tall, with a stout stature, most probably wearing glasses with some form of facial hair. Many are considering him the new Waldo from childhood book sensation 'Where's Wally.' Despite hours of research and trips to Jasons in an attempt to find this master of whole foods, his real identity has yet to be uncovered. The search, however, continues.
