MartinLogan has put a premium price on quality sound systems. The company manufactures luxury-priced (ranging from about $600 to more than $100,000) electrostatic audio speakers for stereos and home theater systems. It's ELS Series (loudspeakers and subwoofers), Design Series (loudspeakers and subwoofers), and Custom Installation (in-wall and in-ceiling speakers) products are made for stereo and home theater use. Products are sold in the US and internationally through specialty retailers, such as Tweeter Home Entertainment and Magnolia Audio Video (a division of Best Buy). The company was founded in 1983. In 2005 it was acquired by a unit of investment firm ShoreView Industries Inc.
