Plot

Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech stands today as one of the most famous and important speeches in modern history. As the cornerstone of the civil rights movement, it was a message of non-violent opposition to the blight of racism and discrimination in the United States. This video pairs the entire speech, delivered on August 28, 1963, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, with brief footage of other struggles and protests in the civil rights crusade throughout the 1960s.
