Mary Balfour

Balfour, Mary (1780-?), school-teacher and poet, Born in Derry, she provided eight poems for Edward Bunting's General Collection of Ancient Irish Music (1809). Her collection Hope (1810) contains some translations of Gaelic poetry and carries an epigraph from Charlotte Brooke.
